The Role – Growth Manager, Grants & Philanthropy

This senior fundraising role is perfect for someone driven and experienced with building relationships. Your main task will be to secure funding from Major Donors and Trust & Foundations for a range of impactful programs.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working within the Leadership Team, you'll identify funding opportunities, build relationships with potential donors, and craft compelling proposals and grant applications. Additionally, you’ll assist the CEO in expanding government funding opportunities at the local, state, and national levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and build relationships with trusts, foundations, corporate donors, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI)
  • Collaborate with the CEO to grow government grant funding
  • Deeply understand the organisation's programs, priorities, mission, and impact
  • Write persuasive proposals and grant applications
  • Manage the process of gathering data and information for timely grant applications and acquittals
  • Keep accurate CRM records of donor communications
  • Stay informed on trends in philanthropy and grant opportunities

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Proven success in grant writing, major gifts, or philanthropy (other fundraising experience also considered)
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic mindset with an eye for process improvement
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a creative approach to growing grants and philanthropy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a close-knit team
  • Experience using donor CRMs like Salesforce or Raisely highly regarded
