About Life Ed Qld

Life Ed Qld has been an important part of growing up for more than 1.5 million Queensland children – empowering them with knowledge and skills for a healthy, safe life. They do this by working face-to-face with more than 180,000 young people in partnership with 800 schools and pre-schools every year, supported by their much-loved mascot, Healthy Harold.

About the role – Head of Fundraising

This growing charity have a sophisticated, best practice regular giving program in place and are ready for a passionate experienced Head of Fundraising to join the team. Working closely with an engaged CEO, who has a fundraising background, you will create and lead the fundraising strategy for the state, reviewing current revenue streams and recognising opportunities for growth.

You will play a pivotal role in the organisation’s financial sustainability and future growth. This is a senior leadership role that is responsible for growing, leading, and nurturing a team of 5 fundraising professionals.

You will manage and grow Life Ed Qld’s impressive, established regular giving program which provides significant income. There are some exciting projects in play for the next 6 months including launching a F2F acquisition campaign with third party agency support.

Investment has been made into future fundraising growth with the addition of two roles; a Philanthropy Manager and a Digital Fundraiser. You will oversee and support philanthropic growth including Gift in Wills, Major Gifts, Trusts & foundations & Grants.

Your skills & attributes

  • Experience in a multi-channel, senior fundraising leadership role.
  • Proven success growing regular giving income (F2F acquisition experience highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to grow, motivate and inspire others.
  • Experience in complex budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience of working with external agencies and suppliers.
