The National Justice Project (NJP) is a not-for-profit legal service & civil rights organisation committed to tackling systemic injustice, discrimination, and racism.
Established in 2015, their vision is to foster a fairer society where individuals are treated equally and live safely without discrimination. They employ a multifaceted approach using law, education, technology, and advocacy to effect systemic change. Their strategic cases, inquests advocacy, and legal tech solutions have set crucial legal precedents, impacting the lives of our clients and the broader community.
As the Head of Fundraising and Philanthropy, you will be at the forefront of their mission to create a fairer society where everyone is treated equally.
This role will be a key member of our Executive Team, collaborating closely with the CEO, Board and Advisory Committee, working together with the Communication team, and leading a small, dedicated group of professionals to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
As the fundraising lead you will design, develop, and deliver the fundraising strategy, to exceed the annual target. With over half already pledged for FY24-25, you will focus on expanding their network of major donors, trusts, and foundations, while also nurturing relationships with corporate sponsors and grassroots supporters.
You will also be instrumental in driving acquisition, conversion, stewardship, and growth to achieve sustainable revenue growth across annual giving and community fundraising and building diversified streams of income for the organisation.
This role is a perfect fit for a dynamic, results-driven fundraiser with a passion for social justice. You will be a fearless initiator; able to find new opportunities, outreach to new potential leads and cultivate relationships from the start. You will enjoy working in a small, enthusiastic team and thrive on being able to operate at a strategic level whilst still being hands on with the day-to-day fundraising. It is important that you are a continuous leaner, willing to innovate and to drive results with a commitment to efficiency and quality.
