Individual Support Trainer & Assessor - Murwillumbah

Beaumont People are excited to be collaborating with a local Community College here in the Northern Rivers! Our client is a registered training organisation dedicated to redefining career paths, shifting perspectives, and empowering brighter futures.

The program is an individualised and innovative program encompassing CHC33021 - Certificate III in Individual Support, CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing Support, CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability, along with additional skill sets such as HLTHPS007 - Administer and Monitor Medications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Instructing, observing, and guiding learners in accordance with the Individual Support Training Package.
  • Assisting with the enrolment process, including administrative paperwork.
  • Engaging and supporting students throughout their learning journey.
  • Offering flexible learning methods to accommodate students with diverse abilities and motivations.
  • Demonstrating professionalism while working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Collaborating effectively within the team.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork for quality assurance, reporting, and audit compliance.
  • Managing personal professional development to stay current and relevant in the industry and maintain qualification standards for oneself and the organisation.
  • Conducting observations of students at aged care and disability facilities.

Key requirements:

  • At least 3 years recent industry experience.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Certificate III in Individual Support CHC33021 OR CHC43015 - Certificate IV in Ageing support, including HLTHPS007 – Administer and Monitor Medications OR a higher qualification.
  • WWCC (or willing to obtain).
  • Police Check (or willing to obtain).
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Hold a full driver’s licence and be willing to travel when required.

Highly desired but not essential:

  • RN or EN, ideally an EEN who is approved to administer medication is highly desired.
  • Experience as a Trainer and Assessor.

Please note this a permanent part time role, 3 days per week, working Wednesday through Friday 8.30am - 4pm, totalling 21 hours per week.

If the successful candidate is open to travel, there is an opportunity for this to be a full time role working 35 hours per week in Lismore 3 days and Murwillumbah 2 days.
