About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manger - Organisational Development, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the functional management and leadership of the Marketing and Communications team. You will lead on the strategic development of the marketing function and will position that organisation as a leading service provider within the children education sector.

Your strategic and leadership skills must be polished, but you must also be willing to execute as you will work to create and deliver communications, marketing, and branding activities across both digital and print channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate marketing and communication strategies
  • Ensure positive, credible and consistent representation of the brand including the integrity of reputation, messaging and visual identity
  • Manage the duties and performance of staff within the Marketing and Communications team
  • Enhance the image of the organisation through the establishment of relationships with industry and media representatives, and the development of public relations material including press releases, industry materials
  • Develop networks to assist in promotional activities and in the marketing of products and services
  • Ensure all corporate communications support the brand and marketing strategies
  • Manage the production of publications
  • Manage the website/s, intranet/s and online presence
  • Liaise with members of the Executive team, including Fundraising and People Services to develop and implement marketing and engagement materials and activities

To be considered for this role it is important that you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications and/or public relations or similar and relevant experience in a similar marketing role
  • Significant experience planning and implementing a successful marketing strategy to drive acquisition, retention, and to build brand awareness
  • Proven track record working effectively across cross functional teams and influencing stakeholders at various levels of an organisation
  • Experience and understanding of digital marketing across all digital channels
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively, particularly when managing multiple tasks within a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and as part of a dynamic team environment and with own initiative
  • Experience managing a marketing team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team collaboration skills
  • Prior exposure to the non-profit or education sector is desirable
