Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, providing essential food and groceries to more than 1 million Australians every month. Foodbank works with the entire Australian food and grocery sector, who donate and redirect perfectly edible or usable product to Foodbank for distribution as food relief.

Foodbank provides food and grocery relief to 2,844 front-line charities and 3,379 school breakfast programs to help feed Australians in need. Last year alone, Foodbank sourced enough food for 92 million meals.

Foodbank also plays a key role in times of community emergencies and disasters, and has a vitally important role in tackling Australia’s $36.6 billion food waste problem.

About the Role:

This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven fundraiser looking to join a high-performing team as part of Australia's largest food relief organisation.

Reporting to the National Partnerships Manager, the role will suit someone with a background in fundraising, in-depth customer or relationship management experience who is looking to contribute to a meaningful cause. The ideal candidate will be proactive, can multitask and write effectively and demonstrate high energy and willingness to learn.

About You:

You are an independent, driven and passionate fundraiser with excellent written communication skills who understands the necessity of process and attention to detail. You are eager and willing to build strong internal and external relationships and are energised by the idea of working with a high-performing team. Your previous experience in a nonprofit environment will benefit you in this critical support role – you will thrive on jumping in, getting things done, and ensuring maximum effectiveness in your work, as you help to drive impact for Australians in need.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • To have a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in professional fundraising.
  • Exceptional written skills and strong attention to detail, with demonstrated experience writing proposals and presentations.
  • To be target driven.
  • To be highly professional and articulate with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • To have a sound understanding of brand and cause related marketing.
  • Be confident and comfortable in public speaking and delivering presentations.
  • To have the ability to work autonomously and be a team player.
  • To have a genuine interest and passion to work in the not-for-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant prospecting, researching and development of applications, whilst accurately reporting back to partners.
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team with partnership account management, business development, management of partnership collateral, and supporting key relationships through activations and events.
  • Maintain and grow the workplace giving (WPG) income stream, including management of existing donors and WPG platforms.
  • Support Foodbank Members with enquiries/tasks related to corporate partnerships as required, including fundraise licencing processes and documents.
  • Utilise Salesforce to track partner engagement, maintain accurate records, and ensure clear donation reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team, supporting corporate partner marketing campaigns and cause-related initiatives.
  • Act as secretariat for the monthly Partnerships Team meetings which is made up of Fundraising representatives from the State & Territory Foodbanks. This involves notetaking at the monthly meetings to be distributed to the attendees.
  • Provide regular portfolio updates and contribute to leadership and board reports as needed.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with wider Foodbank Team (within Foodbank State and Territory locations).
  • Contribute, along with other staff members, to the smooth running of the office by answering phones, maintaining contacts in Salesforce, assisting with basic office administration etc.

Desirable:

  • Experience using a CRM, i.e. Salesforce
  • Experience using Canva
  • Experience working with Power BI
