Join this international development charity's philanthropy team grow their Major Donor fundraising program.
ChildFund Australia is an independent international development organisation that works to reduce poverty for children in communities around the world. Through local partnerships they enable children and young people, in all their diversity, to assert and realise their rights.
ChildFund’s vision is a world without poverty where all children and young people can say: “I am safe. I am educated. I contribute. I have a future.” As part of a global network of 12 organisations, they assist nearly 23 million children and families in 70 countries around the world.
The head office and fundraising team are based in Surry Hills, Sydney so to be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, and very confident working and building internal relationships remotely. There will be regular travel to Sydney and regionally for donor meetings, as well as opportunities for your direct team to spend time with you in Melbourne.
It’s an exciting time to join the Philanthropy Team at ChildFund Australia as they grow to 6 members. In this newly created role of Philanthropy Executive, Major Donors you will report to the Philanthropy Manager and work closely and collaboratively with a wider Fundraising Team of 20 people.
After a recent strategic review, there will be a stronger focus on philanthropy; major gifts, gifts in Wills (GIW), partnerships and institutional funding.
You will use your self-drive, energy and exceptional relationship skills to engage and further develop a large portfolio of high-value donors, possibly including some trusts, foundations, and corporates, with a focus on major donors. You will be a key contributor to ChildFund Australia meeting its ambitious public fundraising goals, in turn creating more impact in the lives of children.
With new philanthropy products and the flexibility to tailor and be creative with the offering to your donors, you can build truly personalised relationships.
Although experience working within a Philanthropic environment is highly regarded, we are more focused on finding the right person to fit the team. If you can demonstrate that you have inspiring, proactive & personable communication skills in addition to demonstrated relevant experience then we are happy to talk about your future career in philanthropy.
If you are energetic, curious, and confident, and are recognised for going above and beyond for your key relationships to achieve positive results, then this could be the role for you!
Please submit an up-to-date resume through the "Apply Now" button. Applications will be reviewed daily, there is no closing date for this role. If you haven’t worked in a fundraising role previously, please also include a cover letter clearly outlining why you are looking to make this career move and your experience in developing financially high-value relationships.
