BCC offers a welcoming place helping to create a connected and confident community. We are a not-for-profit organisation, providing a diverse range of programs and services, including adult education courses, wellbeing programs and support groups located at the Healthy Futures Hub in Seaford, where we are co-located with an array of organisations with a health and wellbeing focus.

The Manager is responsible for providing leadership to staff and volunteers, driving community engagement, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with funding bodies, partner organisations and community groups. The focus of this role is on management, relationship building and ensuring BCC’s financial stability.

This is a permanent part time position of 26 hours per week. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Neighbourhood House & Adult Community Education Centres Collective Agreement 2016.

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:

  • Management experience
  • Command of community development principles and practice, preferably in a Community/Neighbourhood House environment
  • Strong capacity in developing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, volunteers, supporters and patrons
  • The ability to identify community needs and to plan, develop, monitor, implement and evaluate high-quality programs to meet those needs
  • High level analytical administrative, organisational, and negotiation skills
