Berry Street’s Residential Care Services offers Emergency, Short- and Long-Term care to children and young people who cannot live safely at home and require Out of Home Care. The Northern Region can provide care for up to 22 young people across six residential care homes, including two Therapeutic homes.
As a Case Manager - Residential Care you will be required to provide youth-focused and family sensitive case management to children and young people who reside in the Northern Residential Care program. Our young people can present with highly complex needs arising from significant trauma, mental health concerns, disabilities, sexual exploitations, substance misuse and exposure to family violence's.
This role is based at our Preston office, Wurundjeri Country and will be a mixture of working on-site and working from home, in a hybrid style working arrangement.
You will be a qualified professional with a Bachelor level qualification in social work, psychology, welfare or related discipline with demonstrated leadership skills, in particular, experienced in leading both employees and volunteers.
You will have experience in working with children & young people on statutory protective orders and a sound knowledge of the nature of protective issues, homelessness, trauma and attachment, disability and the implications for their emotional and behavioural development.
