The Opportunity

The Data Insights and System Analyst is a unique role with the objective of providing technical solutions and support to the wider Strategic Engagement team, as well as managing and monitoring the databases and systems. The role reports to the Head of Data and Analytics and is responsible for the overall maintenance of data systems and providing valuable data insights.

The Data Insights and System Analyst is pivotal in optimising and managing the Dynamics 365 CRM to support Berry Street’s fundraising and philanthropy efforts.

This role involves translating data into narratives for decision-making, leading training to improve data literacy among the team, supporting CRM projects, enhancing data security, and documenting processes and system operations to facilitate the effective use of CRM and BI tools.

As a Subject Matter Expert, this position will significantly contribute to the organisation’s future growth and sustainability by developing data systems and insights that enhance business decision-making to maximise the return on Berry Street’s fundraising investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customise and maintain Dynamics 365 CRM to enhance fundraising operations, ensuring high system availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement a data warehouse that will enable the organisation to execute a Business Intelligence strategy that will ultimately enable flexible on-time reporting and data-driven analytics.
  • Automate the data processors, especially import processors and management of donor and campaign data.
  • Develop and manage Power BI dashboards to visualise fundraising metrics and create reports that aid in executive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Support with the smooth integration of systems in particular with Dynamics CRM and any other third-party platforms ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliant with data management.

About You

  • A minimum 5 years experience in a related field
  • A hands-on work attitude with a keen eye for process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent administrative skills with ability to understand and process complex tasks.
  • Effective time management, prioritisation skills and a fast paced work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated Dynamics 365 and SQL experience
  • Demonstrated Reporting and Analytics experience
  • An eye for continual improvement practice within data and systems.
