Our NSFVS team are the lead provider for the integrated family violence service system in the Northern Metropolitan sub-region. The NSFVS provides support services to victim survivors of family violence including children, inclusive of cisgender heterosexual women; and people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer Community (LGBTIQ+).
The Royal Commission into Family Violence recommended the introduction of Support and Safety Hubs (now known as The Orange Doors) in each of the 17 Department of Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH) areas (recommendations 37 and 38). The Orange Doors (TOD) operate as single area-based entry points for vulnerable families and children—including victims/survivors of family violence and families with children at risk of abuse or neglect—to access services when and where they need them.
As the Program Manager you will be based across Berry Street’s Preston Office and the Orange Door sites at Heidelberg and Epping, Wurundjeri Country. This role operates as a hybrid model consisting of in office, community, and work from home arrangements
