About this Position

The Digital Content Writer is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and informative content tailored for Beyond Blue’s digital platforms and channels, primarily the website.

This role involves crafting compelling narratives that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and resonate with target audiences whilst aligning to our clinical governance framework.

The Digital Content Writer will focus on producing content that supports search engine optimisation objectives, enhances user engagement, and drives conversions.

The role

In this position, the Digital Content Writer plays a critical role in ensuring that all content aligns with the organisation’s tone of voice, brand identity, and communication objectives.

The writer will work closely with the Digital Content Specialist to develop and execute content plans that meet both short-term and long-term digital goals.

The key duties of the role include:

Content Creation

  • Write and develop a wide range of digital content, including long-form on page content, downloadable articles, landing pages, and other website copy.
  • Ensure all content is engaging, informative, and aligned with the organisation’s tone of voice and brand identity.
  • Adapt content for various digital formats, ensuring readability, clarity, and impact across devices and platforms.

Content Planning and Strategy

  • Work with the Content Manager to develop content plans that align with the organisation’s digital strategy and objectives.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and content ideation, bringing creative and strategic insights to the table.
  • Assist in the development of content calendars, ensuring timely production and publication of content.

Collaboration and Review

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Participate in content review processes, providing and receiving feedback to continuously improve content quality.
  • Work closely with the Digital Content Producer to ensure that content is effectively presented and visually engaging.

About you

To be successful you will hold:

  • A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content strategy development, content creation, content editing and content optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimisation best practices and technical strategies.
  • Experience with content management systems and digital publishing platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivery in cross-functional teams to execute digital strategies and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Strong experience in utilising data analytics to inform digital strategy decisions and optimise website performance.
