Anglicare is looking for a Head of Clinical Nurse Educators to join the team on a Maternity relief cover until July 2025. This role ensures the delivery of training programs that meet regulatory standards, foster continuous learning, and drive high-quality care outcomes across Anglicare Residential Care.

About the Role

The Head of Clinical Nurse Educators (Maternity Relief) is a key leadership role reporting to the General Manager - Quality, Safety and Risk.

This position is responsible for realigning the training and development of residential care staff to meet the new Strengthened Aged Care Standards. By integrating instructional design and L&D expertise, the role ensures that clinical and care staff skills align with contemporary practices and regulatory requirements.

Leading a team of four Clinical Nurse Educators, you will drive excellence in education delivery across residential care. Occasional travel to Anglicare residential aged care sites will be required for training and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Development and Design:
    • Create engaging, evidence-based clinical and non-clinical training materials. Design customized assessment tools and learning pathways to meet the needs of residential care staff, ensuring all content reflects current clinical standards and compliance requirements.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure training materials align with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Continuously review and update programs to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
  • Policy and Procedure Contribution:
    • Contribute to the review and development of policies and procedures, aligning them with training objectives and best practices. Convert updated policies into practical, actionable training for staff.
  • Industry Engagement:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training accuracy. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support training goals.
  • Trainer and Assessor Support:
    • Provide ongoing guidance and training for workplace trainers and assessors, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Utilise data-driven insights to assess and enhance training effectiveness. Adapt programs to cater to a diverse workforce while reflecting Anglicare's core values.
  • Project and Financial Management:
    • Efficiently manage training schedules, resources, and budgets, and actively engage in team performance management.
  • People Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the Clinical Nurse Educators team, fostering a culture of excellence and contributing to broader Quality, Safety, and Risk initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience in learning and organisational development, with success in a leadership role, ideally within the aged care sector or a related field.
  • Strong ability to design and deliver effective education programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Expertise in strategy development, instructional design, facilitation, Learning Management Systems (LMS), leadership development, and engagement.
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with experience training diverse audiences.
  • Superior relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with active AHPRA registration and no notations.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116).
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in aged or community care.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering aged care education programs.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
