As a Network Engineer at Anglicare, you'll play a pivotal role in deploying and maintaining high-performance, secure, and resilient network infrastructure across all organisational sites. Using cutting-edge technologies like Fortigate, Juniper, Cambium, and GPON, you will optimise connectivity, integrate emerging technologies, and drive operational excellence, contributing to Anglicare's digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, manage, monitor, and optimise Fortigate SD-WAN | Firewall solutions for secure WAN connectivity.
• Manage Juniper switching/routing, Cambium wireless, and ensure high-performance GPON infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop and deploy scalable, high-quality network solutions aligned with business goals.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues; engage vendors as needed for rapid solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and ensure service tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
• Leverage tools such as FortiAnalyzer, Juniper Mist, SolarWinds, and packet capture tools for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Identify opportunities to enhance network performance and contribute innovative solutions.
• Participate in the rotating on-call roster for after-hours support to ensure network uptime.
• Adhere to ITIL processes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Skills and Expertise:

• Advanced proficiency in Fortigate SD-WAN, Firewall environments, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• In-depth experience with Juniper switching/routing for enterprise-grade reliability.
• Hands-on expertise in deploying and managing Cambium wireless and GPON technologies.
• Proficient in cloud-based networking (e.g., Azure Virtual WAN) and hybrid cloud integration.
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, firewall clustering, and AI-driven threat detection systems.
• Skilled in AI-driven network monitoring tools such as Juniper Mist, Aruba Central, and SolarWinds NPM.
• Proficiency with packet capture tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) for advanced diagnostics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certifications: Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIP), Fortinet (NSE), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience: Demonstrated work experience in network engineering with hands-on expertise in Juniper, Fortigate, Cisco, Cambium, and GPON technologies.
• Proven experience in managing and deploying SD-WAN and firewall solutions.
• Solid understanding of IP networking, ITIL processes, and best practices (ITIL certification advantageous).
