Billy Bubbles solves the problems that people face when they run out of gas for their soda water makers (i.e. Sodastream/Sodaking machines). Rather than customers having to take their empty gas cylinders into a store in order to exchange them full ones, they can just book online with Billy Bubbles, leave their empty cylinders by their front door, and Billy Bubbles will deliver full cylinders to them.

The Role

The operations lead will primarily be responsible for scaling the internal last mile delivery service of the business to ensure the best experience for customers. The business is still in its early days of growth with the full-time team consisting of the founder and operations lead along with our casual/subcontractor team. If you’re looking for growth and impact in your role this will be perfectly suited; The role will grow as the business expands in its geographic and product offering, and due to the lean nature in which the business is run you will have a direct impact on the business and be able to see the immediate results of your effort. Working hours can be adjusted to suit school hours etc.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to scale the last mile delivery service throughout Melbourne & other cities.
• Optimise existing logistics for scalability and cost efficiency.
• Manage and recruit delivery drivers.
• Work with the founder to develop the best customer experience possible.
• Warehouse & inventory planning in order to ensure that we can meet demand.
• Some customer support to help with enquiries relating to their deliveries.

About You

• Have a passion for providing a service that works for the environment and the customer
• Experience with multi stop home delivery logistics
• eCommerce experience is a plus
• Not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Comfortable in a growing environment
• Genuine empathy and people skills to connect with our customers
• Business analytics experience in an operations environment
• Strong competence with software to manage orders and inventory
