The role:

Our Allied Services Division, (BlueSky Mind Studio) is expanding our Psychology service offering and as such we are currently seeking Registered and/or Clinical Psychologists to join a growing team. The role involves delivering assessment and treatment services to Participants with a variety of clinical presentations and complex barriers, undertaking appropriate therapeutic interventions to treat Participants within your own style, approach and expertise. 

Delivery involves engaging 6 Participants per day (from a variety of funding streams, from Medicare, NDIS and Private Fee paying), completing session notes and associated reports as appropriate, administering assessments and facilitating groups by arrangement.

As this is a growing service, we are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates with a desire to support establishment and embedding of our service offering. The role can be tailored to suit your needs with part-time up to full-time arrangements open for negotiation.

 Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Essential: Current registration as a Registered (or Clinical) Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 
  • Masters of Psychology (or equivalent) recognised by AHPRA
  • A minimum of two years of experience in practicing psychology 
  • Experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) desirable
  • An impeccable reputation for honestly, trustworthiness, and ethical integrity
  • Highly developed communication skills, written and verbal
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet, and database systems
  • Experience working with disadvantaged Participant groups such as people with disability, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, drug and alcohol dependency, homelessness, domestic violence and psychological disorders, is desirable.
  • An ability to work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction. 
  • Demonstrated ability maintain professional boundaries when responding appropriately to Participant and family/carer expectations
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, solution focused and evidence based mental health care.

The ideal candidates for this role will have a strong values base with commitment to genuine, compassionate delivery of quality mental health services. Highly competent, motivated and suitably skilled, holding full (unencumbered) AHPRA registration and Medicare eligibility. Ability to build rapport with disadvantaged participants, strong team ethic. As this is a growing service, a desire to support and influence service design and development highly desirable.
