Fish Farms & Marine Campaigner

Bob Brown Foundation

Bob Brown Foundation is seeking an experienced campaigner to lead our new campaign to protect the marine environment from the scourge of industrial-scale fish farms in Tasmania.

We are looking for someone who is action-oriented, responsive, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and able to lead the campaign while taking direction from our Campaign Manager.

Salmon farming is an environmentally destructive industry that reduces marine biodiversity and is harming Tasmania’s oceans, coastlines, riverine ecosystems and wildlife. A moratorium on fish farm expansion is urgently required. The recent large-scale expansion of fish farms in Tasmania needs to be reversed, including in the World Heritage-listed Macquarie Harbour.

This position will lead our new campaign to halt and reverse the destructive expansion of fish farms in Tasmania, and to seek increased protection for the marine environment.

A position description is attached.
