BrainLink is looking for a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to join our busy Support for Carers team and help us to develop a new program of Peer Mentors, who are expected to share their personal experience and journey with primary carers to establish rapport. Peer Mentors will support carers in their journey as well as providing linkages to support and services. This position’s primary function is to coordinate this program, especially in regional areas.

BrainLink is a small yet dynamic organisations that is the first point of call for families supporting people living with brain injury and degenerative neurological conditions.

This varied role aims to support the BrainLink business by:

  • Developing our Peer Mentoring Program and recruiting, training, and supporting a team of volunteers to assist BrainLink to connect with more people who are caring for someone with a brain injury or neurological condition in the community.
  • Supporting the BrainLink team to find and reach out to people who are caring for some-one with a brain injury or neurological condition.
  • Supporting the Support for Carers Manager in running various events and activities that provide support, education, and respite to carers.

We are looking for a warm friendly and engaging person to join our team. A can-do attitude is a must. Hours are full time 37.5 hours per week. BrainLink is based in a modern office situated in a beautiful garden setting at Caribbean Estate in Scoresby, directly off East Link.

We offer flexible work arrangements with the possibility of working from home some days (as the role allows). BrainLink offers above award wages and salary sacrificing. Occasional travel to rural areas including overnight stays (funded by BrainLink) will be required for this role.
