Broome CIRCLE has been providing an award winning Financial Counselling Service for over 20 years and we are currently recruiting for a Financial Counsellor to join our innovative and dedicated team. Our Money Support Hub team provide service delivery within the Broome township and outreach to communities within the Shire of Broome including Bidyadanga, Beagle Bay, Djarindjin, Lombadina and Ardyaloon.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Financial Counselling is a free service to members of the community who are seeking assistance to manage their budgets, pay their bills and are undergoing financial hardship. The Financial Counsellor provides information and will walk side by side with the client to empower them to make decisions to improve their financial circumstances. Financial Counsellors are also educators in the field of Financial Literacy and provide regular workshops to community groups both in Broome and at outreach communities.

ABOUT YOU

• Diploma of Financial Counselling (applicants currently studying will be considered)
• Experience in community engagement, case management and advocacy.
• Provide case work support to Financial Counselling clients
• Deliver Financial Literacy Education Workshops
• Willingness to work across agency sites and travel within the Shire of Broome region on a regular outreach sites.
