We are now recruiting for passionate person to join our multidisciplinary team and work within a supportive community focused organisation.

This opportunity would suit someone with the relevant background and experience who is looking for role in TAREE, NSW.

What you are responsible for:

  • Maintain up to date client files and write reports.
  • Advocate for child/children, young people/persons and families within the service where applicable.
  • Monitor and report on outcomes.
  • Develop and implement case management plans involving agreed goals.

Essential Criteria:

  • This is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. All applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent.
  • Basic knowledge of legislation related to Child Protection and Out of Home Care for Aboriginal children and young people.
  • Understanding of the difficulties/issues that arise for Aboriginal children, young people, families and foster carers in Out of Home Care.
  • Skilled Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict and difficult situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be reliable, motivated, committed, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or willingness to learn the principles of Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, Ethical practices, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Possess a current NSW Driver’s Licence

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience in an Aboriginal organisation or Identified Aboriginal positions with community.
