Based in Sydney on the Northern Beaches, Northside Enterprise Inc. is a leading Not for Profit, in providing best practice and quality supports for individuals with disabilities. Operating for more than 30 years, Northside provides a wide range of person-centred, inclusive programs that focus on support, care, upskilling, community engagement and supported employment. We exist to support individuals living with disabilities to live fulfilling, vibrant, and active lives as valued and included members of the community.

The Role:

Northsides’ strategic priorities are focused on capacity building, strengthening our services, increasing supported employment opportunities and being an employer and NDIS provider of choice.

This exciting opportunity will work closely with the Management Committee to guide the organisation to drive and deliver on its strategic direction and lead and further develop the leadership team to enhance and deliver on the organisation’s strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include:

• Building on and enriching strategy, organisation and culture;
• Driving transformation strategies to ensure financial sustainability through periods of growth while strengthening against external influences;
• Identifying business development and growth opportunities;
• Maintaining key working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
• Expanding external networks;
• Financial management, governance and compliance;
• Leading effective and efficient management of all functions at Northside; and
• Liaising with and being responsive to participants and their support networks;
• Managing the Leadership team on business activities as well as providing strategic direction and career development.

The appointment to the CEO position will be for an initial two-year contract with option for extension. This role is traditionally a full-time position, however there may be opportunity for some flexibility with contract hours.

• Demonstrated success in leading organisations or multi-tiered teams;
• Skills that make you an innovative problem-solver with analytical acumen;
• An exceptional and broad range of communication skills that may include interpersonal, verbal, written, visual, presentation, non-verbal and listening.

You could be an even better fit if you have:

• Previous marketing, social enterprise, or business development experience.
• Previous leadership or management experience within the disability services industry.
• Experience in digital and/or brand transformations
• Direct or indirect lived experience of disability.
• Previous experience working with vulnerable communities and/or people.
• Experience in Not for Profit or Charity sector
