Bicycle Network believes that physical activity & sustainable transport is vital for a happy, healthy community – that’s why we make it easier for everyone to ride a bike. We operate a network of over 120 secure bicycle parking facilities across Victorian train stations. Using behaviour change interventions, we encourage Victorians to switch their transport mode and ride to the station.

We are looking for a friendly and innovative program coordinator to help us deliver the Parkiteer program. Reporting to the Parkiteer Manager, you’ll play a core role in delivering projects that help people ride & break down barriers for Victorians. You will work with the wider Bicycle Network team and our stakeholders to move towards a happier, healthier and less congested community. Bonus points if you’re a graduate in the fields of either; Urban Planning, Sustainability or Behaviour Change

You will need to be comfortable planning and delivering projects, as well as providing customer service to our Parkiteer community. We need someone who is passionate about transport and is keen to understand people’s needs and the barriers in their transport choices.

This is for a full-time contract but hey we’re flexible.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is flexible and adaptable to new ways of working
  • Is willing to develop and learn from experts, including our volunteers
  • Has an ability to juggle operations and administration
  • Can remain calm under pressure and thrives in a challenge
  • Has experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Has a valid Australian drivers licence

Key selection criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in planning, sustainability, behaviour change or relevant experience in delivering active transport initiatives
  • Knowledge and passion for sustainable transport with a focus on cycling
  • Demonstrated experience in providing customer service

  • Experience with GIS software
  • Research and critical analytical skills
  • Experience with Facilities Management
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects within set timeframes and within budget
