Ride2School Program Manager

Bicycle Network
  • Are you someone with a passion for health, who wants to help more young Australians get active?
  • Are you capable of building relationships with stakeholders and managing multiple projects?
  • Are you as comfortable working behind the desk as you are out in schools and communities?
  • Do you love supporting others and helping them learn new skills?

Bicycle Network believes that physical activity & sustainable transport are vital for a happy, healthy community – that’s why we make it easier for everyone to ride a bike. We are specialists in delivering behaviour change programs in schools and are looking for someone to lead a team that works across Victoria.

We are looking for a friendly and experienced program manager to help us deliver our amazing Ride2School program. Reporting to the General Manager of Behaviour Change, you’ll play a core role in delivering the state’s largest bike education program. You will work with the wider Bicycle Network team and our stakeholders to move towards happier, healthier and less congested communities.

You'll need to be comfortable facilitating bike related activities inside school settings as well as managing a small team to work towards program metrics set out by government funding.

If you're passionate about better health and active transport and are keen to build sustainable change in young Victorian’s transport choices, then this is the gig for you.

The role is based in the Melbourne office but will be required to travel across the state occasionally to deliver the program.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Can role model Bicycle Network’s values and behaviours
  • Cares about getting kids of all backgrounds and abilities riding
  • Is flexible and adaptable to new ways of working
  • Is willing to develop and learn from experts, including our volunteers
  • Is committed and honest
  • Has an ability to juggle operations and administration
  • Can remain calm under pressure and thrives in a challenge

Bicycle Network is committed to ensuring our team represents the diversity of our community. Women, Indigenous people, young people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
