Why Baptist World Aid Australia?

If you have a desire to be part of a passionate, committed, people-oriented team who is committed to ending poverty… then you’re in the right place!

Baptist World Aid Australia is an international Christian development organisation working in 20 countries. We partner with like-minded organisations overseas to implement community development and disaster projects that empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Last year, our work benefited 742,153 people.

When you join Baptist World Aid Australia, you’ll become part of a rich, 60-year history. As a valued Information Systems Manager, you will be integral to achieving our mission of helping Australians tackle the injustice of global poverty. With overall management and operational responsibilities for the IS team, this role will be integral to the delivery of key objectives that seek to bring about a world where poverty has ended and all people enjoy the fullness of life God intends.

We’re looking for someone with the know-how, passion, and commitment to work towards ending poverty… is it you?

Location: North Ryde, NSW.

Position: Permanent full-time (35 hours per week)

If you want to work in and continue to build on what is an incredibly supportive team environment, alongside passionate and talented individuals who have a genuine passion for the work that we do, then this could be the right role for you! As the Information Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing the internal IS team and outsourced IT providers. You will establish good IT governance for the organisation and oversee & ensure a responsive and proactive helpdesk.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated, incredibly driven leader, with excellent and current IT capability. You will have a service mentality with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You come with experience in the corporate world, leading an IT team and/or function, now seeking to use your gifts and experience in a new capacity. You may also have experience in the NGO sector, and importantly experience managing a suite of external contractors and a sense of urgency and exceptional delivery standards.

As a Christian, you’ll share our vision for a world without poverty as God intends… and participate enthusiastically in prayer sessions, biblical reflection sessions and church services.
