Are you seeking a role with a values-driven for purpose organisation where you can support young people in our community? Are you passionate about maintaining relationships within families? Are you an experienced practitioner looking to utilise your skills in supported living accommodation?

This full-time house manager position supports our mission by facilitating the operations of the Ruby’s Reunification Program, which provides 24/7 supported accommodation to young people aged 12 to 15 and their families, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or comparable qualification OR substantial demonstrated experience in a related field
  • Have demonstrated leadership qualities, including experience supervise team members, monitoring performance, maintaining supervision records, and annual performance development plans
  • Experience providing case management, managing residential maintenance and activities, and coordinating a team of shift workers to provide overnight and weekend support to residents
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people who have complex trauma, and dealing with conflict and crisis
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy, Family Therapy and Attachment Therapy
  • Experience encouraging active involvement of families in the management, care and future plans of their children

Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

  • Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
  • National Police Check clearance.
  • Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella [Chicken Pox]; Pertussis [Whooping Cough]; Hepatitis B and COVID-19.
