You will be part of an exciting program delivering a new approach to providing youth services.

About the position

Support the business of CAAPS by ensuring all financial processes are provided and assist in the monitoring, operation and planning of CAAPS programs. Ensure the Vision, Values and Mission are reflected in your work.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with Australian Accounting Standards
  • Process fortnightly payroll and ad hoc pay runs when required
  • Process accounts receivable and payable
  • Oversee processing of petty cash and purchasing
  • Reconciliations for end of month/year are processed and presented to the external accountant
  • Participate in and contribute to the Budget process
  • Implementation of CAAPS Strategic and other business development plans, in collaboration with the Finance and other Managers.
  • Assist in planning for CAAPS assets and new projects
  • Ensure financial policies, procedures and processes are adhered to, ensuring that all transactions are compliant with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Attend and participate in performance reviews and meetings as requested.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Participate in all relevant planned training programs when required and seek to improve performance by gaining new skills and knowledge.
  • Work positively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Your skills, experience and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Well-developed computing skills appropriate to the duties performed along with experience in computerised financial accounting environment
  • Ability to ensure high work performance standards, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a cross-cultural environment
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in the position at all times
  • Maintain personal drug free lifestyle and willingness to participate in random screening as per CAAPS Policy
  • Extensive experience in financial administration
  • Current NT Driver’s License (minimum C Class)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Criminal History Check
  • Current NT Ochre Card
