About the role

Our Speech Pathologists work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team that supports a family-centred practice model, supporting each child to develop the skills needed so that they can engage meaningfully in home, school, and community life.

Working in a mix of clinical and community settings, our Speech Pathologists collaborate with families, their supports and other service providers to maximise the outcomes for each child and family.

Our team works across the Adelaide region, based from our Welland, North Adelaide or new Noarlunga locations. Due to growth, we have mid and senior level roles on either a full time or part time basis.

Specialisation

An opportunity exists for a Speech Pathologist with experience with Assistive Technology, or with more than 3 years of experience and a keen interest to develop skills in this specialist area. About you

Your passion for family centred practice, building family capacity and working towards functional goals, alongside your commitment to professional development and growth will be the foundation to your success in this role.

Demonstrating professional expertise and competence, your experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services with children and young people will see you delivering high-quality services to a mix of clients.

You are someone who can work autonomously but also work well in a collaborative environment and is not afraid to offer up new suggestions and take ownership of your work.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications;
• Current Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia;
• More than 3 years of clinical experience;
• Experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services with early intervention and/or youth aged clients, working with children and young people across a range of diagnoses;
• Knowledge of working across a multi-disciplinary team;
• Experience or qualifications in prescribing and supporting families to use Alternative and Augmentative Communication systems with children who have sensory needs;
• Experience in liaising with other professionals in the health/disability sector.
