Join Canteen and help young people affected by cancer in a caring and compassionate team culture.
Canteen and Cancer Hub acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Peoples and sovereign custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Canteen and Cancer Hub are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and people of all ages. We welcome all people including those from diverse backgrounds, faiths, sexual orientation and/or gender identities.
Canteen, Camp Quality and Redkite (Alliance Partners) are working together to provide Cancer Hub – a digital hub to help families impacted by cancer more easily access the practical and emotional support they need, when they need it.
Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12–25-year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member's cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We believe in the transformative power of our team, and together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
We are now seeking a National Intake Clinician to join our Cancer Hub team. The National Intake Clinician will hold broad knowledge of Cancer Hub services which include knowledge about Camp Quality, Redkite and Canteen services and supports, assist clients to better understand their needs and support options, and refer the clients to the most appropriate avenue.
We connect, we empower, we challenge, and we are real. These values ground the way we work at Canteen and Cancer Hub, and underpin a culture that brings people together, collectively, in an inspiring and positive way. Being a part of our team offers you a rewarding, purposeful and genuine experience, with endless opportunities. Find out more on our LinkedIn Life Page.
Due to the nature of Canteen and Cancer Hub’s work, you will be required to (very) occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Canteen does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
If you’re passionate about what you do and are ready to make a difference, apply now. Applications close on 4th of July 2024. Do not delay in applying as we will be reviewing applications periodically during this time. Please submit your Resume and Cover Letter outlining your relevant experience.
