Join Canteen and help young people affected by cancer in a caring and compassionate team culture.
Canteen acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Peoples and sovereign custodians of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Canteen is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and people of all ages. We welcome all people including those from diverse backgrounds, faiths, sexual orientation and/or gender identities.
Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12-25 year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member's cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We believe in the transformative power of our team, and together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Canteen’s success is built on the capability and motivation of its people. We are now seeking a Project Manager to join our Cancer Hub team where you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordinating, and delivering of projects across Cancer Hub. This is a high-impact role for a qualified project manager with a natural ability to connect and support.
We connect, we empower, we challenge, and we are real. These values ground the way we work at Canteen, and underpin a culture that brings people together, collectively, in an inspiring and positive way. Being a part of our team offers you a rewarding, purposeful and genuine experience, with endless opportunities. Find out more on our LinkedIn Life Page.
Canteen, Camp Quality and Redkite (Alliance Partners) are working together to provide Cancer Hub – a digital hub to help families impacted by cancer more easily access the practical and emotional support they need, when they need it.
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of a strategically driven stakeholder engagement plan, collaborating closely with the Head of Cancer Hub and key stakeholders within the Alliance. You will oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of stakeholder engagement systems and processes, ensuring alignment project objectives, timelines, and expectations. A key priority will be creating sustainable and scalable initiatives that empower the Cancer Hub team and partners to maintain these activities independently. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders, you will drive clear communication, prioritise competing priorities, and deliver impactful results. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the success of a high-priority project that shapes stakeholder relationships and advances broader organisational goals.
Desirable:
*Due to the nature of Canteen’s work, you will be required to (very) occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Canteen does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
If you’re passionate about what you do and are ready to make a difference, apply now. Do not delay in applying as we will be reviewing applications periodically during this time. Please submit your Resume and Cover Letter outlining your relevant experience.
