The Role

The Program Design & Evaluation Specialist will play a key role in designing, developing and evaluating psychologically-based offender rehabilitation programs - including drug specific and criminogenic programs for adult and youth justice clients.

The role will also involve developing psychologically-based training packages, undertaking literature reviews, developing evaluation plans, collecting and analysing data, preparing reports, and consulting with internal teams and stakeholders.

Note that this is a 9-month contract role until June 2022, with the opportunity for extension.

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, mental health, criminology, evaluation or a related discipline
  • Experience in conducting process and outcome evaluations (including design, data collection and analysis, and preparation of evaluation reports)
  • Excellent analytical skills and written expression
  • Excellent project coordination and/or organisational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both within a team and autonomously

Desirable

  • Experience in the delivery or design of therapeutic programs for clients such as offenders, people who use substances, youth and other vulnerable cohorts
  • Postgraduate qualification in psychology, mental health, criminology, evaluation or a related discipline
  • Full unrestricted registration with AHPRA or accreditation with AASW
  • Experience working with complex, vulnerable and diverse client cohorts including the CALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and women in prison
