Carers Australia is the national peak body representing Australia’s unpaid carers, advocating on their behalf to influence policies and services at a national level.

This role works alongside other Directors to harness resources, articulate organisational priorities as well as ensure the integrity and accountability of Carers Australia.
As our new Director, you’ll be shaping the direction of our organisation and sharing the incredible work we do across Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a values-driven organisation chasing bold things.
First and foremost, you’ll bring strong relationship building skills to our Board.
With a focus on collaborative leadership, courage, and great communication skills, you’ll have the ability to work with a diverse Board to leverage outcomes and empower tangible change.
In this role, your previous experience of corporate governance and board experience will place you in excellent stead to safeguard the integrity of the organisation and ensure it meets all its obligations. Understanding the role and scope of governance in a not-for-profit organisation is essential.
