Carers NSW is the peak body in NSW for carers of all ages and circumstances. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers and improving their quality of life through support, referrals, capacity building and training.
The Carer Knowledge Exchange is a new, three-year project that aims to improve outcomes for carers by ‘connecting research to practice'. This exciting initiative is a partnership between Carers NSW and the Institute for Public Policy and Governance (IPPG) at the University of Technology Sydney, proudly funded by the NSW Government. Sector Engagement Officer, Carer Knowledge Exchange will be working 4 days per week, based in our office in North Sydney. This is a part time contract role until June 2023, with possible contract extension.
The role will coordinate contact with key stakeholder networks and communities of practice associated with the Carer Knowledge Exchange. The Sector Engagement Officer will develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and networks as well as supporting in the planning, coordination and delivery of events, information and resources based on carer related evidence.
Postgraduate research qualification and/or direct experience working with researchers and an understanding of carer issues and needs will also be highly regarded.
