About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting our participants in their daily routines, promoting independence, and creating a stimulating environment. This role requires hands-on engagement, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Applicants for this position must be female, as some clients have identified personal care needs that are best met by a female assistant. This approach aligns with the inherent requirements of the position and ensures client dignity and comfort.

How Can I Tell if This is for Me?

• Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in manual handling, personal care, and managing complex behaviors.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Sound computer skills, including the ability to work with a variety of software programs.
• Valid Driver's License, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Police Clearance, and evidence of the right to work in Australia.
• Covid vaccination, including 2 jabs + 1 booster.

Desirable:

• Experience working with female clients in a support capacity.
