We're looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Service Manager in our NDIS disability services sector of the business based in our Mayfield office. This position requires completing managerial tasks (e.g. rostering, ensuring processes are followed and managing matters escalated by the team), demonstrating strong organisational skills, and using a service-focused mindset. As the Assistant Service Manager, the role involves playing a crucial link between frontline Disability Support Workers and participants. The main responsibility is ensuring smooth service operations across all sites within the portfolio. Working closely with participants and their support networks, collaboration aims to understand, develop, and implement individualised plans for goal progression. The strong administrative and leadership capability in this role ensure efficient management of service operations and service delivery.

As an NDIS Assistant Service Manager, you're embarking on a fulfilling journey. Reporting to our Service Manager, you'll:

  • Support individuals with disabilities and their families/carers across life domains like learning, employment, and community engagement and inclusion
  • Contribute to local planning and service development to meet participant and market demands
  • Conduct risk assessments and guide your team in risk mitigation
  • Ensure efficient rostering for consistent participant support
  • Provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to foster skill development and career growth in your Disability Support Worker team
  • Assist in program evaluation and ensure participant support plans promote well-being and goal progression
  • Oversee adherence to reporting and administrative requirements for seamless operations

The Salary for this role is paid based on an award rate at $45.36p/h with scope to progress. If you do bring Industry knowledge and experience, there may be potential to align you to a higher pay point.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships through meaningful engagement and effective communication
  • Demonstrated significant knowledge of supports and services available with experience working with participants to resolve their complex needs and expectations
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex, sensitive matters involving a range of people including corporate and operational staff
  • Contribute to quality services designed to support individuals in achieving their goals
  • Ability to inspire and support team members to excel in their roles
  • Demonstrated ability to work with management to review, develop and implement specific work practices and procedures
