THE ROLE
We are seeking to appoint a Program Delivery Manager to ensure the efficient execution of all programs. This role involves managing the entire delivery process to complete programs on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and effectiveness.
The Program Delivery Manager will monitor progress, address challenges, and implement best practices to enhance overall impact. This position requires close collaboration with the Chief Programs Officer, project teams, and key stakeholders to drive the achievement of organisational objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of programs, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Develop and manage detailed program plans, including timelines, contract processes and governance, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor program progress and adjust plans as necessary for successful outcomes.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community partners, government agencies, and funders.
- Communicate program objectives, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at key events, meetings, and forums to advocate for programs and conservation initiatives while raising awareness of the importance of safeguarding our natural heritage.
- Identify and assess risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational policies and standards.
- Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring delivery within financial constraints.
- Provide regular financial reports to the Chief Programs Officer and Executive Team, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee program teams, offering clear direction and support while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture for professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress, resolve challenges, and celebrate achievements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- 3-5 years’ experience in program management or project delivery, preferably in the environmental sector.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while managing risks and resources.
- Strong resource planning skills aligned with organisational objectives.
- Experience in leading teams, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Solid financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Formal qualification in program or project management is preferable.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and effectively solve problems.
- Passionate about environmental sustainability and community impact, with the initiative to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High integrity, professionalism, and flexibility in times of change.
