About the role

The role works within Homelessness services and contributes towards CatholicCare strategic directions of Homelessness response. The position exists to provide Intake, triage and early intervention response to client at risk or who are experiencing homelessness and accessing supports through Homelessness Services.

This is a Permanent Full-time role.

Duties

  • Ensure compliance with incident management, reporting and escalation requirements and that organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding and WHS are met.
  • Provide effective, flexible, high quality early intervention, assessment and management of Intake services to individuals and families accessing the Centre programs.
  • Conduct assessments of families, individuals and young people accessing Homelessness services and register clients on CIMS.
  • Provide information to clients on a range of matters such as housing, budgeting and finance, health and social wellbeing, legal issues, employment, child protection, education, community resources and parenting etc.

Requirements

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area (PhD or Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, Social Work, registered Psychologist or a related subject area).
  2. Significant experience or extensive knowledge in Trauma Informed, Strengths Based Casework Interventions.
  3. National Criminal History Check
  4. Working with Children’s Check
  5. Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to an insured vehicle
