About the role

Our OSHC will be located on the beautiful grounds of St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School in Pennant Hills and is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 am in the mornings and from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. During the school holidays the OSHC is open from 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

The Assistant Coordinator will be able to work closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care & After School Care at our Pennant Hills OSHC.

This is a perm part time role working Monday to Friday, for 30 hours per week.

Duties

  • Working in support of the coordinator with the efficient day to day operation of the service.
  • Regularly evaluate the program to ensure it caters for the interests, needs of school age children
  • Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
  • Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
  • Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development

Requirements

  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Working With Children Check.

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Experience in working in Out of School Hours Care or studying towards your Bachelor of Education Primary Teaching.
  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
