About the role

Our OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of St John the Baptist Primary School and is open from 7am to 9am in the mornings and from 3:00pm to 6pm in the afternoons Monday to Friday during term time. There will be the ability to work at other local centres during school holidays if you were to choose a full-time permanent role or you could opt for our flexible term time only role which would incorporate 38 hours per week during term time only.

This role can be taken as a Permanent Full-time position or a Permanent Term Time only position.

Duties

  • Engaging, implementing, and evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
  • Understanding the requirements of being the Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance to the National Quality Standards and the Regulations.
  • Building ongoing positive relationships with the schools, families, and employees.
  • Where needed take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
  • Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.

Requirements

  • Working with Children Check.
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis or willingness to obtain.

Highly Desirable

  • Qualifications- Diploma or Cert IV in OSHC.
  • Experience in working in outside school hours care.
  • Skills and experience in team leadership.
  • Knowledge of regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework – My Time Our Place, as it applies to Outside School Hours Care.
