About the role

Our brand new self-contained Supported Independent Living (SIL) accommodation is looking for an experience Team Leader to lead and foster a team of Residential Support Workers in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for developing program schedules according to our resident’s needs, day to day management and rostering of staff and exceptional stakeholder engagement. The role will include direct support with residents.

This is a Temporary full-time maternity leave position, working Monday to Friday. You will participate where need on a rotating on-call roster and will when required be able to work at other CatholicCare sites.

Duties

  • Leading and inspiring a team of Residential Support Workers.
  • Understanding of developing a person-centred plan objective for our residents.
  • Strong and clear communication skills to foster positive relationships to stakeholders.
  • Hands on approach to providing care and support to residents.
  • Onboarding and training for Residential Support Workers and Participants.
  • Participation with on-call roster which includes staff and resident support outside normal business hours, weekends and overnight.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading a Supported Independent Living (SIL) program.
  • Understanding of the Roster of Care and Master roster.
  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate areas desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop a team and foster teamwork.
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and access to insured vehicle.

Highly Desirable

  • Current working with children’s check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Completion of NDIS worker orientation module
