ORGANISATION

As a leading not for profit, our client provides services to families of veterans and is committed to enhancing the lives and creating opportunity for families through a range of programs which include advocating for entitlements, provision of basic needs, bereavement and offering support to families through adversity and loss.

ROLE

Due to movement in the team, our client is seeking a communications coordinator responsible for producing internal publications and other related collateral.

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager you will coordinate end to end production and distribution of publications, manage relevant information and images and provide general administrative support for the communications committee.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone looking to build on their communications experience and work in a professional and ethical for-purpose organisation that is making a real difference to the lives of 1000s of Aussie families!

You will have strong stakeholder management skills, be able to multi-task and have great communication skills with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Co-ordinate end to end production and distribution of two major internal publications (Bulletin and Torchlight) within timeframes
  • Ensure compliance and submission of publications are made to State Library
  • Fulfil publication order requests and coordinate internal and external documents
  • Coordinate information and development of content, sourcing images and managing accordingly.
  • Provide general administration, assisting with writing briefs and producing presentations where required.
  • Assist with general communications as and when required.

  • Ability to organise and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstration of strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • An interest in learning with sound problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to keep confidentiality.
  • Fantastic people skills with a genuine passion for community focussed organisations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Graphic design (InDesign, Photoshop or Canva)
