The Grounds & Property Maintenance Officer is to provide high quality, safe and well-maintained spaces and support to the Maintenance Supervisor and other classification roles amongst team. This may require tasks of a general complexity such as managing a schedule and workflow planning, using safe working methods and OHS standards and provide input into designs, budgets and procurement.

You will work in the team across all sites requiring gardening maintenance and property upkeep with a focus on mowing, edging, weeding, pruning and removal of green waste from sites. Skills in repair and ongoing maintenance of outdoor amenities will be required and ability to manage a ride on mower. This role will also be key in the delivery of Hortus projects (all our garden maintenance provisions outside of our Community Gardens), this will require experience in building, landscaping and design. This is a physical role with a focus on practical work and maintenance, providing general laboring support and horticultural expertise in the gardens and other spaces.

In addition, this role will have the responsibility of supervision of key team members, new trainees, casuals and any volunteers. It will be expected that this person will provide support, training and coaching to newer and less experienced members of a small work team. You must have a driving license.
