Cultivating Community is seeking a highly motivated and organised Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team and gain deeper experience in a complex but purpose-driven environment.

This is a new role created to support our growth and increased payroll and impact. Cultivating Community contracts our reporting, forecasting and strategic financial operations to a virtual Chief Financial Officer.

They are a respected and trusted third party with weekly touch points. We maintain internally day-to-day bookkeeping, data input, record keeping, reconciliations, payment set ups and approvals and operational financial decisions.

We are accountable to our Board via a Treasurer and Audit and Risk Committee and to our variety of funders via grant acquittals, impact reporting and quality of services.

In addition, we have an appointed external auditor for the annual audit process and the creation of financial statements in line with compliance arrangements.

Cultivating Community (CC) works with diverse communities to create fair, secure and resilient food systems. Our core purpose is to provide access to healthy, culturally appropriate food for people and families living on low incomes in the context of a whole of community approach to food security.
