About C Care
C Care is a front-line community organisation that supports 2000+ individuals and families across Melbourne’s south east who experience food insecurity and social isolation.
C Care leverages a predominantly volunteer workforce to provide a full range of personalised services tailored to the unique needs of our recipients. C Care’s services provide accessible, culturally appropriate resources for vulnerable members of our community.
We focus equally on fulfilling our recipients’ needs, as well as creating a strong sense of community for all stakeholders.
Role Purpose
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) enriches the lives of older adults by providing social visits from dedicated volunteers. C Care’s ACVVS program recruits compassionate volunteers who are thoughtfully matched with recipients for regular visits, at least every fortnight. Seniors participating in the ACVVS benefit greatly from the meaningful connections they form with their matched volunteers.
This role focuses on co-ordinating and expanding our ACVVS program by collaborating with and supporting C Care's existing volunteer- and recipient-dedicated teams. The ACVVS Coordinator will lead all program processes, including recruitment and training of volunteers, matching volunteers with suitable recipients, collaborating with key community organisations to engage new volunteers and recipients, and overseeing volunteer reporting and feedback.
