Children and Young People with Disability Australia (CYDA) has an exciting opportunity for a young person (18-25 years) with disability to apply their lived experience to advocacy, within a government-funded project.

The Project Support Officer will work as part of a small team to implement CYDA’s co-design process to capture the direct lived experience of children, young people, families and caregivers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• This is an identified position for a young person with disability (under 25 years).
• Part-time position (18.75 hours per week).
• 3 positions available.
• Location: In-office (Collingwood, Victoria), remote (all states and territories considered), or hybrid.
• This is a 1 year fixed-term contract (commencing late September 2024).
• This is a Level 2 role within the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award ($66,025 to $72,038 pro rata excluding superannuation) plus generous salary packaging.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator (Transitions Project), the Project Support Officer will use their own lived experience to provide insights to the project, and to effectively engage young people with disability.
