An exciting opportunity awaits a curious and collaborative Events and Conference Producer, in a permanent full-time capacity based in any CEDA capital city (Syd, Mel, Bris, Ade, Per). This role will will be part of a nationally dispersed Programming team and will work closely with the Associate Director Content Programming in developing and curating thematically aligned events, briefings, and activities. This role offers a unique blend of research, program development, and project management.
To be successful in this role, you must love collaboration, keen interest in public policy issues and enjoy working with internal and external stakeholders.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- working with the Associate Directors and Director of Content Programming to implement the integrated programming model in line with CEDA’s strategic priorities.
- tracking key policy changes, research, media discourse and external events relevant to CEDA’s thematic workstreams.
- developing program content that aligns with CEDA’s research and programming theme.
- managing event programming schedule, including deadlines, event briefing, milestones, processes, reporting and budget in alignment with commercial outcomes
- engaging and briefing senior stakeholders across business, government, academia, and civil society on CEDA’s programming objectives.
- developing engaging content to attract quality/quantity attendance at CEDA programs and engaging sponsors with strategic alignment for events
- capturing insights from CEDA programs and integrating relevant feedback into future programming and other content.
- contributing to team discussions on innovative ways to improve or change programming
- working collaboratively with internal CEDA teams, this role sits at the nexus of communications, research, and programming.
You’ll love this role if you:
Must-Have:
- have a keen interest in current and emerging public policy issues
- three-five years of relevant events experience
- have demonstrated a track record in successfully implementing event programming content and project management
- are experienced CRM/CMS and MS Office users.
- have demonstrated high-level accuracy, organisational skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- a self-starter with excellent time management and prioritisation skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- are a critical thinker, passionate about innovation and have commercial awareness.
- can work as part of a multifunctional, multidisciplinary national team, valuing collegiate team effort and alignment with CEDA values (brave, trusted, passionate with members, curious, succeed together).
Desirable skills:
- previous knowledge and experience of program management principles are desirable
- having at least three to five years of experience in event programming or content development for corporate events, and corporate conferences aligned with public policy/economic space
- has demonstrated a proven track record of managing budgets and meeting targets
- tertiary qualifications in Arts, Commerce, Economics, Policy, International Business, Marketing, Communications or similar desired
