ABOUT THE ROLE

CEHL is focused on creating positive housing outcomes for our partner housing co-operatives, co-op members and renters. We are looking for a Development Coordinator to join the Co-op Services team - key accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Support a whole-of-organisation regional service delivery model to co-ops.
  • Build the capability and capacity of co-ops to ensure their long-term sustainability, good governance and compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support co-ops to understand and apply legislative and regulatory frameworks.
  • Effectively partner and build relationships with member co-ops and internal stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Apply broad business acumen to financial reporting, budgeting, written communication and planning for co-ops.
  • The Co-op Development Coordinator supports co-ops located throughout Victoria. The CDC will be required to attend in-person meetings with their allocated co-op members in Metro and/or Regional Victoria. This will mean some work outside usual business hours (as required)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role will ideally suit an experienced Development Coordinator with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
  • 5 years of professional experience relevant to the responsibility of this role.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs and facilitating group discussions with people from all walks of life.
  • The ability to effectively manage challenging and robust conversations with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated emotional intelligence in service delivery and communication with others (i.e. self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills).

A resourceful, resilient and solution focussed approach to problem-solving.
