THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE A CHANGEMAKER…

The Manager – Program Development & Engagement role exists to provide clear vision in the development of a robust Program framework and engagement strategy that equips Co-ops to drive a member-led Program and build capacity.

As an integral member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strong direction in relation to service delivery, innovation, and planning, in order to meet strategic outcomes, improve organisational performance and promote a highly skilled and functioning, collaborative team culture.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development of a coherent Program Framework and overseeing its successful implementation and review.
  • Leading the development of an engagement strategy that builds the capacity of Co-ops and their members and drives Co-op led program development.
  • Spearheading the development of a 20–30-year Program Direction, including new Program offers.
  • Building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships that foster relevant input into Program development and engagement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…

  • Specialist knowledge across key legislation and relevant standards, including the performance standards required of Registered Housing Associations.
  • A sound understanding of CEHL Co-operative Agreements, co-operative program processes, occupational health and safety legislation, privacy legislation, and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing policy.
  • Strong understanding of member-led organisations and effective community engagement.
  • A general understanding of the goals and operations of the Community Housing sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of professionals, with a strong understanding of, and ability to implement, effective People & Culture practices;
  • Extensive experience at a senior level in service provision and development;
  • Excellent communication skills; personable and collaborative working style and able to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders;
  • Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline (Community Engagement, Management, Project Management, or other related field) and a strong understanding of member-led organisations and effective community engagement; and
  • A general understanding of the goals and operations of the Community Housing sector.

This is a 2-year, fixed-term position operating in a 0.8 FTE capacity with flexibility to work both remotely and at our CEHL Head Office as required.
