ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in the team by developing and executing procurement strategies that align with CEHL’s mission and objectives. Your responsibilities will include developing and overseeing procurement and contract management frameworks, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring that all sourcing activities are conducted efficiently and effectively to support organisational goals.

Reporting to the General Manager – Strategy & Innovation, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a Strategic Procurement Plan, identifying key opportunities and negotiating with suppliers and contractors to enhance value and service delivery.
  • Create and manage CEHL’s procurement and contract management framework.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement and contract processes, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, sourcing, tender management, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive contract register to track and ensure accuracy of contract information.
  • Design and execute tender processes for property-related assets and contracts to ensure value for money and improved service delivery.
  • Collaborate with business units and leadership to identify and implement cost-optimisation strategies.
  • Establish, review, and update procurement policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Conduct training and workshops to promote a culture of effective procurement and contract management.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on cost-optimisation and ensure alignment with CEHL’s policies and procedures.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role will ideally suit an experienced Procurement Manager with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Relevant degree in procurement, contract management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Strong communication skills with experience leading teams and collaborating with leadership.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High-level interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated commitment to best practices in procurement and effective governance.
  • Proficient in data management, analysis, and visualisation, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Skilled in negotiation and contract management with a solid understanding of business and legal terms.
