As a mental health support worker you will work closely with our clients in a non clinical model to provide psychosocial support on their recovery journey, supporting them to live the life they choose. You will get to know your clients well, understanding their needs, preferences and aspirations, so you can support them to achieve what’s important to them.

What are we looking for in our support workers?

  • A passion for people and a genuine interest in responding to the needs of others
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The physical capability to carry out a range of manual tasks
  • Broad shift availability! The more available you are, the more work we can offer

What are the minimum requirements?

  • Be eligible to work in Australia
  • Current "C" class QLD driver's licence
  • A roadworthy, registered vehicle
  • Blue Card and an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or current Yellow Card)
  • National Police check (current within 6 month)
  • A First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Completion of the micro-credential - Psychosocial
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate “Quality, Safety and You”

A Certificate in Individual Support or Mental Health is preferred, but not essential. We can support you with training and work without this qualification.

You will be paid in accordance with our Collective Agreement with a pay rate of $29.4163 to $48.2490/hr depending on your qualifications and previous experience. There are additional penalty rates for weekends, overnights and public holidays.
