The Organisation

The Central Land Council (CLC) is a representative body promoting Aboriginal rights and provides a number of services for the benefit of traditional owners and other Aboriginal residents of the CLC region.

It carries out its statutory functions across the southern half of the NT. Its members belong to more than 15 language groups. Located in the amazing landscapes of Central Australia, CLC's main office is located in Alice Springs plus several regional CLC offices.

The Staff

CLC employs more than 260 people with 51% being Indigenous, including local Aboriginal people with expert traditional knowledge to lawyers, anthropologists, geologists, accountants, technology and information professionals, and a vast range of trades.

As a Commonwealth Government statutory authority, equipped with modern technology and facilities, the Information Services team is recruiting now for an:

IS007 - Information Services Officer (Library and Research Data)

CL6 ($83,728.00 - $96,180.00)

We recruit for someone to support our library and records teams with their day-to-day tasks as well as outreach activities. AWS or M365 knowledge or experience make you an ideal candidate for upcoming projects.

In a position that balances people and technology, this role can drive change that benefit the organisation and its stakeholders.

Key areas are collection management, education and training, research data administration and providing research reference services.

The position would suit someone with initiative, who is innovative, has a flexible and 'can do'- approach, and who can contribute to a changing environment. It is ideal for a professional or recent graduate with a keen interest in developing contemporary Library and Information Management skills.
